THE WORKHORSE

The Cascade dropper post pays homage to the Cascade mountain range, home to some of the best riding in the PNW. This post is a workhorse, it’s super reliable, loved by our customers and provides flawless up and down service for the miles to come.

TIDY EXTERNAL ROUTING

The Cascade is built for bikes that don’t offer internal routing, but it still ensures your cables are kept out of the way during up and down actuation by providing the external routing port at the midcap.

Weatherproof Sealed Air Cartridge

Like all of our droppers, the Cascade rocks a sealed air cartridge that is known for its performance in below freezing temperatures. This design also makes the post easy to self service when it comes time for maintenance.

eXTERNAL VS INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING

The Cascade is an externally routed dropper post, which means the cable will be secured to the outside of your bike frame. Determining what cable routing is compatible with your bike is the first step in picking dropper post compatibility.

HELPFUL TIPS TO DETERMINE ROUTING STYLE

    • Does your bike currently have a dropper? If so, is the cable running through the inside of the frame (internal routing) or is it secured along the outside of your frame (external)?
    • What’s the age of your bike? Internal routing started around 2014 on high end mountain bikes and became more common on bikes after 2016 - if your bike is older than that it most likely is only compatible with external routing.
    • Got a newer bike? Look for internal cable ports that would send the cable housing up the seat tube to the bottom of the post. Common spots for a port are towards the bottom of the seat tube, near the bottom bracket or possibly up near the head tube where your other internally routed cables enter.

How Does Travel Adjust work?

Our travel adjust system allows for a total of 30mm travel reduction in 5mm increments. If you were riding that line between travel sizes you can now fine-tune the perfect fit by following the easy directions below:

  1. Begin by lowering your dropper at or below the desired travel length (just make sure it’s not fully extended!)
  2. Unthread the midcap with your hand and slide it up to reveal the white DU Bushing.
  3. You’ll see negative numbers with corresponding notches machined into the post (each # represents decreasing travel.
  4. Slide the DU bushing up and rotate it to align the black arrow with the amount of travel you would like to reduce, then seat the arrow into the machined groove. (Make sure it’s fit securely into these notches!)
  5. After pushing the DU Bushing back down, lower the midcap and hand tighten (no need to go overboard!) and ride off into the sunset with the perfect travel for you.

FAQ

Is this post compatible with my bike?

The Cascade is an externally routed post which makes it compatible with a lot of bikes, second is to confirm your seat tube diameter! Click here for help >>>

Does the post come w/ internal cable & housing?

We include our cable and housing kits with each of our levers. When you order the dropper by itself cable and housing will not be included.

How often do I need to service the post?

As riding frequency and conditions vary, we do not have a strict service interval. Instead, we recommend servicing your post if it starts to feel sticky/slows down. When it does come down to service it is a quick and easy, at home process.

What’s the difference between the Cascade and the Pine Dropper Post?

The Cascade Dropper Post fits frames with seat tube diameters of 30.9 or 31.6mm, the Pine is the same style of post meant for 27.2mm seat tube diameters.

Easy install, smooth activation, better than expected. Parts are really high quality and pretty.

It's the smoothest dropper post I've used and the install went quicker than my cup of coffee.
